Spring Senior Portraits at Cantigny Park || Vicky

There’s something so special about spring senior sessions, and Vicky’s felt like the perfect way to celebrate the Class of 2026. With graduation just around the corner, everything about this season feels exciting, meaningful, and full of anticipation for what’s next.

Vicky’s session took place at Cantigny Park, which is truly one of my favorite Chicagoland locations no matter the season. One of the biggest reasons I love recommending Cantigny is its versatility. You get a little bit of everything here… Beautiful gardens, open green spaces, charming walkways, and architecture that adds variety to your gallery without ever feeling overwhelming. It’s the kind of location that gives us so many options while still keeping your photos cohesive and natural. A Chicagoland gem!

And this spring, Cantigny absolutely showed up! After a March full of wild storms and unpredictable weather, it felt like we were all more than ready for blooms, fresh color, and a little bit of sunshine. The early spring flowers made the perfect backdrop for Vicky’s session.

Vicky is someone who just radiates joy, and her smile truly says it all, which made it so fun to photograph her. Whether we were walking through the gardens or laughing between shots, her laid-back, happy personality came through in every moment.

This session also felt extra meaningful because I’ve had the honor of photographing this family before. I captured her older sister’s senior photos in Chicago back in 2024, and getting to see the family again (including some updated family photos during Vicky’s session!) was so special. These are the kinds of full-circle moments that mean so much to me as a photographer.

And speaking of full circle, Vicky is heading to the University of Miami this fall to study business. She’ll be joining her older sister there, which makes this next chapter even sweeter.

Spring senior sessions really do have their own kind of magic. They’re close to graduation, which makes everything feel like a true celebration. There’s an energy that’s different from any other season – a mix of reflection, excitement, and “we made it.” Plus, it’s the perfect time to lean into things like fresh tans from spring break, warmer weather, and those first signs of the season changing.

Vicky’s session was the most beautiful way to wrap up her senior year. I’m so excited for everything ahead for her and grateful I got to be a small part of capturing this season!
