There’s something so magical about Lake Geneva weddings, and Maiya and Jake’s day at Geneva National was no exception. This venue is truly a dream (especially for any Midwest golfer) with its lakefront ceremony spot, airy cocktail tent, and elegant clubhouse for the reception. It was the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love, laughter, and a few surprises from mother nature!

Maiya and Jake started their day in the beautiful getting ready houses on site, which gave them the perfect space to relax, enjoy their bridal party, and keep the energy high before their first look. Although we had to dodge a few storms throughout the day, everything stayed miraculously on time. Even their outdoor ceremony took place under the darkest storm clouds without a single drop of rain. It was both eerie and unforgettable, and such a fun memory to look back on.

The celebration was filled with so many personal touches that made this wedding uniquely theirs. From the Packers vs. Bears rivalry woven into speeches (a nod to Maiya being from Wisconsin and Jake from Chicago!) to their choice of live music, it was a day full of personality. Their band kept the dance floor buzzing all night long. So much energy, so much fun, and so interactive with the guests. I always 10/10 encourage couples to look into live entertainment for their wedding receptions!

One of my favorite details was their coffee station. Guests could enjoy espresso drinks, affogato, and little pastries throughout the night. It was such a thoughtful touch and a vendor’s dream! They also created the most unique guest book, designed like a yearbook, complete with photos of each guest. What an incredible keepsake to look back on in the years to come.

Maiya and Jake, your wedding day was nothing short of incredible. From bright blooms to heartfelt moments, storm clouds to spark-filled dance floors, you two created a celebration that reflected your story so beautifully. What an honor to capture it all!
