I love how some senior sessions bottle up a season just perfectly. Naiyomi’s senior session at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, Illinois feels like exactly that! Warm summer sunshine, beautiful blooms, glowing light, and one very confident Class of 2027 senior made for the sweetest evening.

Naiyomi was one of my first Class of 2027 seniors this summer. And I think her session was the perfect way to kick off this senior season! Cantigny was showing off with flowers in full bloom and that gorgeous summer light that makes everything feel magical. Every corner gave us something beautiful to work with, and Naiyomi made it all look effortless!

One of my favorite things about senior sessions is seeing each senior’s personality come through in their photos. Naiyomi brought a confident energy to her session, and she was a natural in front of the camera! That makes it so easy to capture the big smiles, genuine laughs, and all of those little details that make the photos feel like you.

And if you’re a Class of 2027 senior who is already thinking, I have no idea how I’m supposed to do this, take a deep breath! You do not have to show up to your senior session knowing how to pose, what to do with your hands, or feeling like you need to look perfect every second. That is my job! We’ll plan together, talk through outfits, locations, and the overall feel you want for your session, and then you just have to show up.

Once you’re in front of my camera, I’ll take it from there. I’ll guide you through poses, give you direction when you need it, and probably tell you to do something that feels a little silly before capturing the moment. The goal isn’t to create photos where you look like someone else. It’s to create photos that feel like you, right now, in this season of your life.

So to all of my Class of 2027 seniors, consider this your reminder that your senior year is officially here! You don’t have to have it all figured out, and you definitely don’t have to show up perfect. Plan ahead with me, show up as yourself, and I’ll take care of the rest. If Naiyomi’s session is any indication, we are in for a really good senior season!
