There are couples that have a way of making being in front of the camera look effortless, and Danielle and Joey were exactly that kind of couple! 

From the moment we met for their engagement session along the Naperville Riverwalk, I knew we were going to have so much fun together. It’s one of my favorite places for engagement photos in the Chicago suburbs. There’s beautiful architecture, charming bridges, and pockets of gorgeous light around every corner. Add in two people who genuinely love making each other laugh, and it was the perfect combination!

I’m so grateful Instagram brought Danielle and Joey my way because these two were an absolute joy to photograph. Even though Danielle mentioned before their session that she isn’t usually comfortable in front of the camera, you would never know it from these photos. These two settled into the session so quickly! And before long they were enjoying an evening together while I documented all of the smiles and laughter between them. They have such a playful, flirtatious sense of humor that made every part of the session feel natural. You can tell they truly enjoy being together and that truly shows in their photos!

As we wandered through downtown Naperville, the Riverwalk gave us the perfect backdrop for the timeless engagement photos they were hoping for. The scenery reflected their personalities so well. Their vision for their wedding day is to create an experience that feels both sophisticated and stress-free, and after spending the evening with them, I have no doubt they’ll accomplish exactly that. They care deeply about creating a day where everyone can simply celebrate, have fun, and enjoy every moment together!

Next spring, Danielle and Joey will be saying “I do” and celebrating with family and friends at The Drake in Oak Brook. I already know that their wedding day is going to be filled with laughter, joy, and so much love. Can’t wait to document every part of it!
