Macie and Cameron’s wedding day was truly one of the highlights of my year! From the very beginning, they told me their biggest priority was their people. With a guest list of 260, this was a celebration centered around friends, family, and making sure everyone had just as much fun as they did. And let me tell you, it delivered!
From the moment I arrived, their energy was contagious. Macie and Cam are outgoing, joyful, and completely themselves in the best way. Smiles never left their faces, even in the November cold. Capturing their love felt effortless because they are so naturally connected and comfortable with one another.
This was my first time photographing a wedding at the Metropolis Ballroom in downtown Arlington Heights, and I can absolutely see why they fell in love with it! The charm of downtown Arlington Heights gave us such a beautiful backdrop for portraits. I loved how the warmth of the ballroom perfectly matched Macie’s vision for the day. The florals from Eden were the cherry on top, tying everything together in the most romantic way.
Late fall weddings in the Midwest can sometimes bring challenges with weather and early sunsets, but this day could not have unfolded more perfectly. Macie and Cam chose to do a first look, which allowed us to build a timeline with plenty of portrait time before the ceremony. One thing that was really important to them was attending their cocktail hour and being present with their guests. By planning intentionally, they were able to have both beautiful portraits and meaningful time celebrating with their favorite people. We love that!
All the Love for Macie & Cam
Throughout the planning process, they shared that they wanted candid, genuine moments captured alongside the classic portraits. They also mentioned feeling a little unsure about posing, which is something I hear often. My goal is always to guide my couples in a way that feels natural and relaxed, and these two trusted me fully. That trust allowed us to create images that feel joyful, authentic, and so completely them.
The vendor team was incredible, and the collaboration throughout the day made everything flow seamlessly. When vendors work well together, it truly elevates the entire experience for everyone involved.
At the end of the night, from the middle of the dance floor, Macie and Cam ran over to give me a hug and a special memento. I was left standing there feeling emotional and so grateful! Moments like that are why I love what I do and the people I get to do it for.
Macie and Cameron, thank you for trusting me with your wedding day! Your joy, your love for your people, and your genuine hearts made your celebration unforgettable. So much love for you both!
