When Nicolette & Jimmy reached out to me to photograph their wedding day they shared that they’d be having their wedding at Etre Farms- a big beautiful white barn in Michigan and that they were searching for a little mini escape from Chicago. They were so lucky with choosing the date April 13th, not only did they have the most perfect weather but it was Nicolette’s parents anniversary and they were so excited to share the day with them. I learned shortly after my initial consult with Nicolette that her and I shared a few mutual connections through family, it’s such a small world and I felt so honored to capture their wedding day! After meeting them in person for the first time at their engagement session in Chicago, I knew their wedding day was going to be nothing short of amazing. During their summer engagement session we bopped around Fulton Market, got happy hour drinks and captured sunset at Montrose Harbor, talk about a dream! Throughout planning their day I knew they weren’t going to miss a single detail and boy was I right! With having a 22 person wedding party, 200+ guest list, this was going to be a party!! From the Heim Masters themed practice green (it was the biggest weekend in golf after all) to greeting guests upon arrival with a beverage cart and I can’t forget the written notes to every.single.guest. Everywhere I turned on the property they covered the grounds with decor pieces and special mementos. My favorite fun fact about their day was that Nicolette had NO idea where Jimmy had planned their Honeymoon destination. It was a complete surprise to her come Monday morning after the wedding, how exciting! I can’t help but think that Nicolette & Jimmy had the most perfect wedding day at Etre Farms in St Joseph Michigan. I will be reliving this day over and over again in my head for the days to come!
