What a beautiful spring wedding! Ali & Nick were so lucky with the weather on April 9th. It had rained the entire week leading up and on the wedding day they had perfect skies! Joe and I were there to capture their day from the time Ali put her dress on to the start of the exciting reception dancing. We started out at the Oak Brook Hills Hilton Resort to get ready, the girls had a huge getting-ready suite for hair and makeup as well as a room for the bride across the hall. This was perfect for all the shots of Ali with her bridesmaids in their PJs, the shots of her putting her dress on, and even her first look with her dad! This extra room was a lifesaver as it was clean and easy to use while hair and makeup did their thing in the room across the hall. Highly recommend it to future brides! After we had captured getting ready images for the bride and groom, we drove over to Our Savior’s Church in Downtown Naperville where they had a beautiful ceremony. Nick by far had the best reaction to seeing Ali for the first time, needless to say, there wasn’t a dry eye in the church. As everyone exited the church their friends and family had bubbles ready to go, Ali and Nick had practiced the cutest dip before getting on the bus. They nailed the dip and we incorporated it throughout bride and groom portraits as it was too good! From there we headed back to the Hilton Resort to capture all of the wedding party as well as bride and groom portraits. We had a blast with this crew, they were so easygoing and patient! Throughout the reception, it was so evident how loved these two are. From the speeches to all their guests joining them on the dance floor for the first song, I felt so lucky to be there to witness and capture this special time! Congratulations Ali & Nick!
