I am currently writing this blog from my patio enjoying the warm sun that I have been craving all winter! I can finally say with confidence that spring is here! I have been patiently watching the trees for a new life so things start looking green again. With that being said, busy season is almost here as the weather starts to get warm and engagement sessions will be in full swing this spring/summer. I was so excited to kick off spring engagements with Mariah & Matt in Delafield, Wisconsin! A town I have never been to, but will most definitely visit again. Mariah & Matt are from the Wisconsin area and found me through Instagram (love the power of social media). Mariah was so eager to book her photographer at the beginning of her planning process -which I can appreciate, immensely! Through the booking process, I made it known to them that I love photographing up in Wisconsin for a change of scenery – and of course, I love traveling to new places. I left the location decision up to them and they did not disappoint! Although things hadn’t started turning green yet, the sun was perfect and their photos were so glowy and warm which I adore.
One of the tips I give my couples before their engagement session is to enjoy a few appetizers and cocktails (if they are into that) so that everyone can feel relaxed (and not hungry) during the shoot! Let’s be honest, it’s not easy being in front of a camera – most people hate it. So it’s my goal to prep my couples for success during their session so they can leave confident and feeling good about their experience. Mariah & Matt did just that and I was so proud of them! I could tell that they were so confident with each other the whole time which made my job… pretty easy! 😍 Another tip, Mariah used her bridal trial for makeup for her engagement session, so smart! She was able to get pampered before the session and was then able to see how her makeup photographed, double win!
Needless to say – I am so excited for their wedding day in Wales, Wisconsin in 2022! I just adore all of my Wisconsin bride & grooms and can’t wait to expand my network into new states!
