The excitement is real today! If you’ve been following me for some time, these two are going to look familiar to you! Yes, I had the honor of photographing their proposal at O’hare airport last winter, and their engagement session in the city of Chicago. If you don’t know by now, Tory & Kristina got married in Scottsdale, Arizona, on 2/22/2020! (How fun of a wedding date!) I was lucky enough to be chosen as their photographer to capture this incredible day. This wedding was so special as it was my second destination wedding, and my sister was able to tag along as my assistant! We flew in on a late Thursday night so that we could be there for their rehearsal on Friday morning. We were able to walk the grounds of Copperwynd Resort together to scout out some locations and, of course, talk about our game plan for the morning. Saturday morning, we were thrown a slight curveball, as they were calling for some extreme rain. What was supposed to be an early morning, outdoor ceremony quickly turned into an intimate, beautiful indoor ceremony that was none the less amazing. Tory & Kristina handled the situation like champs and honestly had a one of a kind ceremony.

Over the past year, I have had the privilege of getting to know their story, and I promise you I have never laughed so much during a ceremony, it was incredible! Morning weddings are becoming a new favorite of mine. It was unique for them as they LOVE to do brunch. Tory & Kristina have traveled the world together, and their favorite thing to do is to try new brunch places! So, a morning wedding only made sense! They shared their morning with their loved ones and danced the afternoon away with dueling pianos, donuts, and of course, bloody mary’s! The rain might have thrown us for a loop but didn’t stop us from still being able to capture their beautiful day. I could go on and on about this day but I will leave it with this, it was perfect, and I am so excited for Tory & Kristina’s future. I wish them a lifetime of happiness as they continue to see the world together!
