Lindsey & Mike Laskey ||The Jacob Henry Mansion || Joliet, IL

I’m going to start off by saying I am truly blessed with the best couples. Lindsey and Mike have been great to work with since day one. They were the easiest going couple, but so on top of their game through the whole process. I was lucky enough to capture their engagement pictures last summer, which was a blast. I have known Lindsey for as long as I can remember. Her brother and my sister grew up together, our moms were great friends, and Lindsey babysat me a couple times when I was younger. Who knew the little girl she used to babysit while in high school would be photographing her wedding day!

I remember back in January of 2017 when Lindsey reached out, and we started chatting wedding details, that was when I really started to dive into wedding photography and I knew I wanted to capture Lindsey and Mike’s special day. I am so grateful I was chosen to.

Their wedding day was just perfect. From the getting ready shots, to the ceremony and reception, everything ran great. All day it was so fun to hear stories about Mike & Lindsey’s past and get to know them a little more. Not to mention their bridal party…. was the best. I don’t think they could have asked for a better group of people to stand by their sides. SO many laughs, tears, and memories were made this day because of their amazing bridal party. They were all a blast.

There were so many sweet moments about this day that these two will carry with them forever. From the theme being adventurous and having little maps in their flowers. Lindsey’s brother and sister-in-law sang the song to their first dance. The bridal party coming out in Hawaiian shirts at the end of the night was a surprise to all. Lindsey & Mike were so loved this day.
