The Farmhouse Plainfield Wedding Day || Sabrina & Ben

Wedding season is officially here, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off 2025 than with Sabrina and Ben’s beautiful spring day at The Farmhouse Plainfield! In true Illinois fashion, we were expecting rain and gloom — but to our surprise, we didn’t see a single cloud. Instead, we were gifted with the perfect spring day – bright, sunny, and full of joy!

Sabrina and Ben’s story is one for the books. They met while attending Northwestern University — in a science class, of all places! As they got to know each other, they made a surprising discovery: they had actually grown up in the same town and attended rival high schools (shoutout to St. Charles HS, East & North!). Life has a funny way of bringing people together, right?

Fast forward a few years, and these two are now both doctors — I mean, talk about a power couple! Surrounded by their amazing friends and family, they celebrated their love with a beautiful Jewish ceremony that included singing, sharing wine, breaking glass, and the loudest Mazel Tov! from their guests. It was a moment that felt both sacred and joy-filled — a true celebration of love.

One of the first things I loved about their wedding day was how Sabrina and Ben embraced the season. They chose a spring color palette of lavender, blues, pinks, and oranges. It was truly refreshing to see how the colors transformed The Farmhouse Plainfield, adding so much vibrancy to the rustic space. I always love when couples aren’t afraid to lean into color, especially in spring! The florals were absolutely stunning and complemented the natural charm of the venue perfectly.

I had so many favorite moments from Sabrina and Ben’s wedding, but a few stand out:

The speeches… From laughing to tearing up, the speeches were the perfect mix of humor and heart. Guests were hanging on every word, and it was the kind of storytelling that makes you feel like you’ve known the couple forever.

The amazing dinner… Instead of a traditional plated meal, Sabrina and Ben opted for wood-fired pizzas from the incredible Wooden Paddle. What a fun, laid-back twist! Guests gathered around, sharing slices and stories, and it made the reception feel so personal and welcoming. Plus, the custom pizza cutter wedding favors? LOVE! I can’t wait to hear how they compare the pizza to what they find on their honeymoon in Italy!

The endless laughter… If I had to pick one word to describe this wedding, it would be laughter. Sabrina and Ben’s smiles never faded, no matter what the day brought. Whether it was a funny story from a speech, a candid moment with friends, or just the two of them sharing a private joke, laughter filled every corner of the day. It was a true reflection of their relationship — joyful, playful, and deeply loving.

Sabrina and Ben, thank you for letting me be part of your incredible day at The Farmhouse Plainfield. Your love is infectious, and your ability to find joy and laughter in every moment is inspiring. Wishing you both a lifetime of adventures, pizza dates, and endless laughs!
