eeeeek! Our engagement session will truly be an experience we will never forget, and that’s exactly how we wanted it to be! When James and I got engaged we really wrestled with the idea of having a destination wedding in Colorado. The reason being, when I photographed my first ever destination wedding at The Manor House I had always dreamt of getting married there myself. The views were breathtaking and the venue itself was historical and beautiful. That trip to Colorado for the first time to capture this destination wedding was a trip I hold near and dear to my heart. It was the first big trip James and I took together, and the reason James came with me was that all of his extended family members live in CO too! It was a chance for me to meet a lot of his extended family and photograph a wedding that was a highlight of my career.
After we came to the decision not to have a destination wedding, I knew I couldn’t let go of the fact that I wanted to incorporate this venue somehow into our wedding plans. Why not have a destination engagement session?! It was truly the best idea ever and we had a blast. We couldn’t thank our photographer Krystal Richmond enough for flying out with us to capture this incredible session that meant so much to us. We love that we will have a story to share to go along with our engagement photos forever and ever!
