Some weddings feel especially full circle, and Molly and Tyler’s wedding day was exactly that for this photographer! I first met Molly when I photographed her senior photos back in 2018. Seeing her again years later as a bride and getting the chance to document such an important chapter of her life was truly an honor.

Molly and Tyler are high school sweethearts, and their story has grown right alongside their dreams. Tyler travels for baseball. Throughout theMolly has been his biggest supporter, cheering him on everywhere life and the baseball takes them. Anyone who knows Molly knows that she is incredibly thoughtful and attentive to the little things. She is someone who never misses a detail, which is exactly why she is so loved by the people around her. It was no surprise that their wedding day reflected that same level of care and intention.

Their celebration at The Crawford in Naperville brought together friends and family from so many different seasons of their lives. Watching all of those people come together in one place to celebrate them felt incredibly genuine and meaningful. It was one of those wedding days where you could truly feel the love in the room!

One of the most special parts of the morning was when Molly gifted her mom permanent bracelets while they were getting ready. As an only child, Molly shares such a close bond with her mom, and it was so clear that her mom is not only her parent but also her best friend. Capturing that moment between the two of them was incredibly sweet.

Molly and Tyler also chose to do something unique during their wedding weekend. I had the opportunity to photograph their rehearsal dinner where they shared all of their speeches the night before the wedding. I absolutely loved this idea! It allowed their closest friends and family to hear those heartfelt words in a more intimate setting. It also kept their reception timeline relaxed and focused on celebrating!

Of course, no Molly and Tyler wedding would be complete without honoring another very important part of their family, their goldendoodle Max. Like so many couples in their twenties, their first dog together holds such a special place in their hearts. I loved seeing how they incorporated Max into their day as much as possible. The sweetest boy!

December weddings in the Midwest can be unpredictable because of the weather, but Molly and Tyler truly got the best of everything! We had a little bit of snow, some sunshine, and comfortable temperatures that allowed us to step outside for photos. The Crawford also gave us beautiful indoor spaces that were perfect for portraits and details.

And speaking of details, Molly truly thought of everything! From the wine bottle guest book table to the custom signage, mirrors with decals, bar accessories, and dance floor props, every element was carefully chosen. One of my favorite details was the ice cream station, complete with custom baseball hats used as the bowls. It was the perfect little nod to Tyler’s baseball career and their life together around the sport.

Another moment that stood out was their ceremony entrance. Molly chose not to do a first look, so the moment the church doors opened and Tyler saw her was incredibly sweet. Moments like that are always unforgettable to document!

There were so many other sweet touches throughout the day… Including Molly’s grandmas serving as flower girls and the beautiful private vows Molly and Tyler shared later at The Crawford. Every piece of their wedding felt personal and meaningful.

Molly and Tyler, it has been such a joy to be part of your story! I felt so honored to capture your celebration and all of the love that surrounded you. Your day was nothing short of amazing, and I cannot wait to see all the places life takes you next!
