Summer Chicago Engagement || Kennedy & Daniel

I’m in LOVE with this summer Chicago engagement session!

There’s something so special about photographing a family more than once, and I’m beyond excited to be capturing another LaCost wedding next year! If you’ve been following along, you might remember Kaitlyn & Nick’s wedding day last year. I grew so close with them throughout their planning process and loved getting to see them pop up at weddings I photographed all year long. So when Kaitlyn’s sister Kennedy got engaged last fall and reached out almost immediately, I was so excited to hear from them.

Kennedy and Dan are planning their wedding for June 2026, and it’s going to be one for the books. They’ll tie the knot at Dan’s church in Wheaton before heading to their reception at The BRIX. A venue I absolutely adore!

From the start, I could tell how intentional Kennedy is with every detail. We spent so much time planning their engagement session – from outfit ideas to location scouting (hello to two gorg spots: Fourth Presbyterian Church and North Avenue Beach!) – and it’s safe to say, I think we nailed their vision. Their Chicago engagement session was dreamy, fun, and full of conversation about their upcoming day. I always love how these sessions bring out the real emotions. It’s such a beautiful milestone in the planning journey and makes everything start to feel so very real.

Kennedy and Dan, I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate your wedding day with you. It’s going to be such a beautiful, meaningful, and FUN wedding day. I already feel so honored to be the one capturing it all. Let the countdown to 6.6.26 begin!
